The Ball State Chapter of Public Relations Student Society of America was founded in 1972 by Dr. Louis Ingelhart, professor emeritus and the first journalism department chair. We are the oldest chapter of PRSSA in Indiana and among the oldest in the nation. PRSSA is a student-run organization that strives to educate it's members about the art and science of Public Relations. Members get a chance to develop relationships with PR professionals and other Ball State students interested in the profession. Members learn more about PR through chapter programs on internships and job skills. In addition, membership in PRSSA offers scholarship, competition, networking and various other professional development opportunities. The Ball State chapter of PRSSA strives to enhance students' knowledge about the industry, enhance their professional, personal and educational development and promote the ethical practice of public relations.
