The Day-of Competition provides you the opportunity to practice your public relations skills in a fun, competitive environment as you prepare a campaign plan for a client and sponsor. You will gain hands-on case study experience, build your portfolio and network with public relations students and professionals from around the country. It is an Assembly tradition you won’t want to miss.
During the Competition, teams of PRSSA Assembly attendees will have one hour to develop a communications plan. Once the client has presented the case study, your team will have one hour to research and plan a campaign, which they will then present to the client. You may bring supplies, such as laptops or poster board, to assist your team in presenting your communications plan to the judges.
Participants of the winning team will be recognized at the welcome reception and on the PRSSA website, as well as receive $50 amazon gift card or complimentary PRSSA National dues, as a reward for their creativity, resourcefulness and skill.
To participate, you must pre-register (this is separate from Assembly registration) and arrive in Seattle, ready to compete, by 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 30. You will be assigned to a team on site. Registration is limited to the first 55 to complete this pre-registration.
Registration Deadline: Feb. 15
