PRSSA Announces Member Spotlight

September 25, 2017

NEW YORK (Sept. 25, 2017) — The Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) will begin highlighting one member a month for outstanding contributions and dedication to the Society through the Member Spotlight.

In honor of the 50th anniversary of PRSSA, members now have the opportunity to be recognized on the national level for going above and beyond the call of duty not only within their Chapters, but also their communities. Chapter executive board members can now nominate any outstanding Chapter member. Member Spotlight recipients will be chosen by the National Committee. Once chosen, the recipient will be notified by Andrew Cook, PRSSA National President; and JaCey Yonke, vice president of digital communication.

"The Member Spotlight was created because our members are making ground breaking moves in their Chapters while staying involved in other at large opportunities. I think that drive and innovation of our diverse membership is something we should recognize and highlight as a Society," said Vice President of Digital Communications JaCey Yonke.

Applications for nominations can be found on the PRSSA website.

"Without the tireless work from our members we wouldn’t be the Society we are today," said National President Andrew Cook. "Public relations students from across the country dedicate their time and energy into making this a premiere organization. Our society has made so many steps forward in our 50-year history and I really think we owe it all to our highly dedicated members."

The Member Spotlight Award will be given during the months of October through April. Each selected member will receive a certificate and will be featured across PRSSA National social media channels, including a Snapchat takeover, and Progressions.
