November 28, 2017

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Nov. 28, 2017) — Mentors and mentees gathered at Janet Ayers Academic Center to kick off the Belmont PRSSA GROW Mentorship Program on Oct. 19. The GROW program gives students the opportunity to connect with a professional in their field of interest to learn more about their career and industry.

This year’s program has a total of 24 pairs of students and professionals. Professionals ranged from various organizations including McNeely, Pigott & Fox (MP&F) PR, Nissan, WSM 650 AM, MEPR and the Tennessee Medical Association.

“The GROW Mentorship Program gives our members the opportunity to create mutually beneficial relationships with professionals in industries they are interested in, while improving their professional development,” Lydia Bailey, Belmont PRSSA vice president said.

“This is my first time doing the GROW program and I know it’s going to be a great resource for me,” said Ally Langley, Belmont PRSSA secretary and program participant. “I’m excited to learn all that I can from my professional. I think the GROW Mentorship Program experience will continue to help me now and long after graduation.” Mentees will continue to meet with their mentors during PRSSA events throughout the year.
