Brandi Boatner is the social and influencer communications lead for Global Markets in IBM corporate communications in New York City. In this newly created position, her responsibilities include developing a consistent, coordinated approach to identify top external influencers in each global market and how internal IBM influencers drive engagement around our technology narrative in topics such as Blockchain, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. The influencer communications lead also trains local market resources on how to measure and engage their influencers, serving as the day to day contact for all local social activations, tools, contracts and strategy deployments.
Boatner is very active in the public relations industry where she holds several leadership positions within PRSA on both the local and national level serving as a former member of the Board of Directors for the PRSA Foundation and the current co-chair of the Social Media Committee of the national PRSA Technology Section. Outside of PRSA, Boatner is an advisory council member for the LAGRANT Foundation, an organization that supports minority students in marketing, advertising and public relations.

Brandi is a true advocate for diversity and inclusion serving as a member of IBM's Diversity and Inclusion Council and also serves as the chair of the IBM Black Network of New York business resource group. She enjoys interacting with the next generation of leaders in public relations, speaking around the US and the world on a variety of topics impacting the communications field. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling the world, swimming, shoe shopping, dancing, reading, hanging out with her friends in New York and spending time with her loving family in New Orleans.
